How to Create Start Position in Geometry Dash

Level editor tutorial for setting start positions and testing your custom levels.

Opening the Level Editor

Tap the "Create" button from the main menu, then select "Build" to open the level editor. You can create a new level or edit an existing one.

Finding Start Position Object

In the editor, look for the "Special" tab in the object menu. Find the start position object (looks like a small arrow or flag icon).

Placing Start Positions

Drag the start position object to where you want players to begin. You can place multiple start positions throughout your level for testing different sections.

Testing Your Level

Use the play button to test from the beginning, or click on any start position and press play to test from that specific point. This is essential for level development.

Advanced Tips

Use start positions strategically for difficult sections, place them before key gameplay changes, and always test your level thoroughly before uploading.
